Second Try at Star Trails!

It was a super moon tonight! That mean the moon is in it’s closest orbit in almost 20 years! You can see all the light bleeding into this pic, and thats all by the moon. I took over 20 pictures at 30-60 second exposures and pieced them all together. I stopped after 20 minutes or so because it’s freezing outside!

Second attempt at star trails. It over exposed perhaps due to ambient light in the neighborhood. I will try again but hope the moon isnt too bright tonight.

Waxing Gibbious

This was my first night attempt at AstroPhotography. It’s been a real interest of mine for a while now, and after reading up I couldn’t wait for my new T3I that’s coming so I went out with my Canon Sx20IS. The results came out great I thought for the camera I have. You can view more on my flikr account also.

Hopefully when the T3I comes and I get ahold of a 300mm+ lens I can get shots of planets like Saturn and Jupiter. Possible even Orion and Milkyway in detail.
